Monday no Gym today

Monday is my day I usually rest as I have a big day at work.

Hit the gym Saturday morning – just put 40 mins on the bike thing (Ankle was tender again – how long is this going to go on for…..) asked the wife if she was interested in coming and got a negative.  After we went out visiting most of the day with a movie at home while we had lunch.  Picked up a new windsurfing board a JP 145 x-cite ride to progress to from Stumpy (155L).  I am really happy with Stumpy but she is very banged up and not quite sure how long she is going to last.  The X-cite ride is a touch narrower 60mm and about the same length now Stumpy has had a nose job.  Looks ok with nice sharp rails in the back – round at the front and flat rocker at the back – should be suitable.  The F2 Thommen 160 has gone to a new good home with Pete from Bribie Island.

Wow to less than a year ago I was excited about getting planning on the ‘Rio Longtail’ best learners board on the planet.  I was looking at some of the footage of my progression on the week end and I have come a long way in a short space of time.  The learning curve is steeper at the moment.  Although in saying that – it is now cold and no wind.

I am spending my life at the gym in order to maintain a reasonable level of fitness for my sport (4 to 5 times a week) – but the weight loss is suffering a bit.  I am sitting at around 98 kilos (down 10) it seems I only loose some if I get out on the water.  Must burn a fair few Calories when you spent 2 to 3 hours on the water windsurfing.

Just means i have to go harder at the gym

    My work out today – feeling a bit off today but all good the gym should fix that 🙂

    Started off on the X Trainer for 5 mins warm up
    Diagonal sit ups placing the back of my hand on opposite knee 3 x 30 which is 15 each side
    Plank 3 x 1 minute
    Rowing machine 10 minutes pushed over 2k

    Finish off on the bike thingo for 20mins 10k

    My Morning Work out for Wednesday 18/05/2016

    Started out on the x Trainer for a 5 min warm up
    Straight into Seated Row 30kgs 3 sets
    Wide Grip Lat pull down 40kgs 3 sets
    Lying leg curl 30kgs
    Squats – just plain old squats
    TRX – Push ups 3 x 15 reps
    TRX – Pull ups 3 x 12 reps
    Sit ups with 10 kilo Medicine ball over the head and between the toes
    20 minute cool down on the the Treadmill

    There it is, a nice warm down on the bike thingo…. phew it was hard work this morning. Rower 2+ ks and cross trainer for 5 minutes before.

    Pretty similar to yesterday with xTrainer for 5 followed by rowing machine (photo in main message) for 12mins, diagonal sit ups and plank then over to the bike thingo
