Gymless momentarily

Here it is decided on the to go to – Healthworks Cleveland

Why

Whilst I loved the modern equipment at Goodlife I have decided to sign up to Healthworks.

As you know I spent a week at both, bit more at Healthworks 10 days

I enjoyed Goodlife because it had great energy the gym felt vibrant and the classes full, equipment awesome, but….. always a but.  When the salesman called the first time I thought he was ok seemed friendly enough, wasn’t pushy (as expected) I came home and made comment to Anita.  That call was a couple of days in – so was looking good really I was comfortable with the equipment and liked the atmosphere – the salesperson seemed nice all was looking good.  However, the last time he called, he called late in the afternoon with a hole lot of attitude (maybe had a bad day), he calling me dude and champ and Morgs none of which I invited him to, after all he is not my friend.  Salespeople of the world you have to remember that the person you are calling may be very busy – had a shit of a day.  I had had a very hectic, crappy day and was just getting in the car late to go home and answered the phone. Salespeople please, don’t if you have had a bad day and/or your ignorant boss is saying call them now….. and you are not in the right ‘salesperson’ frame of mind DON’T CALL……….Call tomorrow!

If I was mystery shopping, ‘FAIL’ in so many ways.  Look at the results – I am going to Healthworks.  As my mum always said ‘the proof is always in the pudding’.

Healthworks on the other hand – Matt the gym owner seems very nice and fairly laid back with his approach – Nice.  I signed up for $10 for 10 days good (2 weeks to form a habit).  The gym I must say is tired, equipment old (in good condition but old).

After my first week at both, I was swaying towards Goodlife – the machines/equipment were very nice, up to date and modern.  Then the fateful phone call from said sales person.

My daughter also goes to the gym and Ashley from my old gym Bodyfocus (closed up) works there making it very familiar.   Another deciding factor was no contracts – you can’t force us to stay at the gym if we stay, it’s because we like your gym – if we stay because you forcing us to with contracts then rethink your approach. Motivation is why we are there make it the right motivation and we are there for life…:-)

Why do we go to the gym – get fit, tone up, feel good about ourselves (making an effort at least), training for a sport, health (Doc said) and some peeps really enjoy the social aspect.

Today I sign up to Healtworks Cleveland to enjoy a gym that has no contracts and has a fairly laid back approach.  I will keep blogg up to date with weight loss and fitness goals and successes.

A couple of photos of both gyms

Next thing is I am going to review a Garmin VivoActive HR

Have a great day

Cheers

Morgs
